Stepping Up and other ABG Updates

Community is critical now more than ever.

The overload of news, changing conditions, and constant uncertainty can leave us feeling overwhelmed, unsure, isolated, and looking for ways to keep things stable and connected to those we love.

So we are stepping up the connection game in the ways we can:

1. Starting today, for the next 14 days, we will share some of the original posts from the 30 Days of Practice that started it all. Crowd favorites, gentle reminders and practical ideas will be posted daily on the ABG Facebook group starting today. So if you are not a member of the Facebook Group you can join here: A Balanced Glass Facebook Group

We hope that you find the tips, resources and reminders helpful, and that you find something to help support your health and wellbeing in these most uncertain of times.

2. We have had terrific feedback to the ABG on the Cushion meditation series, so if you want to join Cathy for one hour of meditation instruction on Sundays starting this week and haven't signed up, please sign up at the Google form here. The show notes and audio will be available after the week’s session (all pending technical challenges aside!)

3. If you have a helpful news article, a yoga teacher offering online courses, a favorite meditation resource, or just stupid-funny-jokes to share, post them on the ABG Facebook Group or send our way. Tag #ABGWell so we can keep track of the content and keep sharing.

4. Share this email and if you are inclined, have them Join the Community for future updates and stories.

On a personal note, like many of you, today I started a 20-day mandated “shelter in place” confinement order.  While I consider myself extremely lucky to have a job that is incredibly supportive and allows me to work from home, living alone in a small San Francisco apartment will no doubt test my own mental health, so I’m sure I will be looking for support here just as much as you may be.

Take care of each other and our normal post will run on Friday – whatever “normal” now means.

Namaste,
Beck
